Dear G2 forum.

I have lymphoma, compromised gut, systemic candida, leaky gut, irritable bowel, and many more symptoms.
My diet consist of meats, eggs and fats, nuts and seeds.

Here is my question:

Is it a good idea to eat home fermented kefir daily to get probiotics in the gut and digestive system?

Yes, eating fermented veggies and kefir should help populate your gut with good critters. I have found that fermented cabbage (sauerkraut) works for me whereas water kefir I make does not seem to do anything.

You may have to buy some strong probiotics if the above is not enough. I have found that VSL#3 works well.

The way to ferment vegetables at home:

A glass jar, organic vegetables, rinse off, cut and put it in the jar, make it airtight, put some salt water on the top, seal the jar, wait a week, and then fermented vegetables is ready to eat, right?

The probiotics you are recommending does it contain any form of sugar? Like lactose, dextose, or any other related to "tose" or "cose" like glucose, fructose, and so on.

Here is just one YouTube on making sauerkraut. It isn't necessary to add any water, but salt (real salt!) is necessary. I don't add any spices such as was used in the video, but you can if you like. Since CO2 will be released, you do not want to tightly cap the jar while it is fermenting. When you decide to eat it, and keep it in a fridge, then do cap the jar tightly. Some say to let cabbage ferment for 3 months, but you can eat it sooner.

VSL#3 probiotic ingredients are:
VSL#3 Capsules - 8 strains of live freeze dried bacteria, hydroxypropyl-methylcellulose (= 00 size vegetarian capsule), cornstarch, magnesium stearate, silicon dioxide, stearic acid and microcrystalline cellulose (Manufactured in Italy)

Gluten free
Dairy free (Manufactured in Italy)
Kosher and Halal Certified
No GMO

Note that VSL3# must be kept cold. If you buy it be sure the seller has kept it cold and is shipped with ice.

Thank you for the video about fermentation, that is a very cheap method and a very good idea. I want to do that.

The problem for me to buy VSL#3 is that the website you are reffering to only ships to Puerto Rico and the United States. I live in Scandinavia, so I cant order from there, but I will try to see if I can buy it from any other source, maybe something like amazon?
