does anyone know if this Ortho-Phosphoric Acid 10% can be used as an activator please.i have tried researching it but do not understand the results. due to stroke and memory concentration probs i cant handle technical info. i need simple explanations thanx
Jeffers, after reading about Ortho-Phosphoric Acid or Phosphoric Acid (the same chemical) at different chemical websites, I think you could use it to activate MMS. They say it is non-toxic and is used in some cola soft drinks.
I have no idea what ratio of MMS to 10% Phosphoric Acid you would need. You could experiment and look for the usual yellow to amber color we see when using 4% HCL to activate MMS.
To be on the safe side I would probably only use it to make CDS as there should not be any MMS or acid activator in CDS.
thankyou very much for the explanation. i have discoverd that the 10% make up includes hydrocloric acid 5%. the sodium chlorite is 2.9% active chlorine dioxide precurser and wonder if its the same as mms. it is sold as a water purifier here in the uk. mms is hard to get.
